Connect your Strike account

The following is a short guide on how you can connect your own Strike handle to Zaprite to start accepting bitcoin and lightning payments.

Step 1: Activate Strike payments

Before you can connect your account, you need to activate the Strike plugin. Simply visit Account > Payments and click the ‘Activate’ link under the Strike card.

Activate Strike payments in your Zaprite account.

Once activated, the card will now show ‘Settings’ which you can click to configure your connection.

Step 2: Configure your connection

The next step involves adding your Strike handle.

Add your Strike handle to your Zaprite account.

Make sure you check the box to agree to the terms, then click [Connect].

Note: Your account handle can only be used to generate receive invoices. Zaprite can never spend from your account or see your balances.

Make sure the connection is enabled by toggling the ’Active’ switch and then click [Update].

If you want to disconnect your account at any time you can simply click the [Disconnect] button and your Strike account information will be removed.

You can enable/disable the plugin, or disconnect your account at any time.

Step 3: Enable Strike on new Invoices

Now you are free to enable Strike payments on new invoices. Simply click the Strike toggle in Section 4 (Payment) to allow your client to pay over Bitcoin or Lightning and have funds deposited straight into your Strike account.

Enable Strike on a new Invoice.

When you send a new Invoice, the recipient will now see a Lightning option and a QR code will be automatically generated by Zaprite using a live quote from Strike. When your invoice is paid, you will receive an email notification with the payment details and the payer will receive an email receipt.

Our hosted payment page will now show a Lightning payment option to the payer.

That’s it! You should now have Strike payment options enabled on your Zaprite invoices.

When a payment is detected, we’ll record it in your transaction history for future accounting and reconciliation.

Transaction history is recorded on successful payment confirmation.
